B and W Custom Base Rail Install Kit Installation - 2003 GMC Sierra

Today, on our 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install B&W's custom installation kit with base rails for fifth wheel trailer hitches. This is what our kit is going to look like installed. As you can see, it fits nicely in the back of our Sierra and it works perfect with our fifth wheel hitch. It's another great thing about this kit, is it works with a variety of different brand hitches such as our Patriot here today. The best thing I noticed about this kit is how it is constructed, the quality is really high, which makes installation a lot easier compared to some of the other brands. Many of our customers reached out to us and told us how easy it was to get it installed by themselves. Some of them even contacted us a year later to tell us how happy they we're with it and it's still working perfectly like it was when it came out of the box.All the holes that you're going to need to use have already bee pre-drilled from the factory. more

Demco Underbed Rail Kit Installation - 2011 GMC Sierra- Video

Demco Underbed Rail Kit Installation - 2011 GMC Sierra

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 GNC Sierra, we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install the under bed rail installation kit for Demco Hijacker UMS fifth wheel and gooseneck trailer hitches, part number DM8551002. The big advantage to having an under bed rail system is it's going to leave your bed open, so if you want to take your fifth wheel out and haul, you have your whole bed to do that. Now, it's also going to come with plugs so that when the time comes that you do want to take your fifth wheel out, it's going to have plugs that you just put into place over top your holes, and it's going to keep the elements out of the inside of the holes where your pins drop in. Now, this is going to be a frame mounted system. It's going to leave your bed completely open. It's going to come with all the necessary hardware. It's going to be custom fit, so it's going to use existing holes that are in the frame, and it's going to come with all the necessary hardware to get it installed. The first thing we need to do to begin our installation, we need to do a few measurements in the bed of our truck. more

Curt 5th Wheel Kit Installation - 2008 GMC Sierra- Video

Curt 5th Wheel Kit Installation - 2008 GMC Sierra

Today on our 2008 GMC Sierra, we'll be installing the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit, part number C16418-204. Now, here's what our rails look like installed. These rails will work with industry-standard fifth wheel adapters and goose neck adapters. They will fit, depending on the application, on the wide ones, the middle ones, or if you're using a gooseneck adapter, the middle ones right here. They are constructed of a durable steel construction with a durable carbide finish powder coat, which will give us many years of rust and corrosion-free service. Also, our bolts are coated in a zinc material, so you don't have to worry about your bolts rusting out either, making sure your fifth wheel rails will stay in place while you're towing your trailer. Now, what I like about this kit compared to other brands on the market is that our rails do not stick up very high compared to other ones, giving us full access to our truck bed, so if we wanted to lay something down flat, we don't lose much of our height capacity. more

Resse 5th Wheel Quick Install Base Rail Kit Installation - 2008 GMC Sierra- Video

Resse 5th Wheel Quick Install Base Rail Kit Installation - 2008 GMC Sierra

Today on this 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD, we're going to review and install the Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit for Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches; part number RP56004-53. I think one of the best details about this hitch is that, since we've seen the bolts are on the outside here, on a conventional Quick Install Kit, the bolts are on the inside, which is okay to get to. You still have to fight around the heat shield here, and here to get access to the bolts; but on the other side, the driver's side, you have a bolt that's really hidden by the gas tank and it's really tight quarters, and it's just really no fun to install. With this one, you don't have to worry about that at all. It takes away all those headaches. Now, if your truck has a drop-in bed liner, I think this is a good companion to that if you're going to put your fifth wheel hitch in there with it. These rails actually will stick up higher than the bed liner. more

On this 2013 GMC Sierra, we're going to review and install the custom under bed insulation kit from B&W Companion Fith Wheel Trailer Hitches, Part Number BWGNRK-1012-5W. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Sierra. Now aside from drilling into the bed of course to install our hitch, for everything else there's no drilling required to install the frame brackets to the frame. It uses two existing holes in the frame and comes complete with all the hardware necessary to install. This is our handle right here, which is used to operate the pin when you need to use it. Now the hitch has a gross towing limit of 30,000 pounds and a vertical load limit 7,500 pounds. Now always double check your owner's manual or your vehicle to make sure it can handle these kinds of weights. more

We don't want to take it all down, so we're going to go ahead and cut it. The bolt here on the bed is not easily accessible. We'll go ahead and cut the shield around the bolt. more

Fifth Wheel Base Rail Kit Installation - 2009 GMC Sierra

Today on this 2009 GMC Sierra pickup we are going to install part number RP50064-58. To get started, we need to do a few things in preparation. First off what we are going to do is lower the spare tire so we have some working room underneath there. And second, we are going to go ahead and remove the heat shield. Now we are not going to take out the whole thing. We just need to take out a section of it. Cut it right behind the second to last cross member. This one has a round tube that goes across on the frame. So we will cut right in front of that. And then, further up above the muffler here, we are going to make a cut right next to the hat channel for the bed itself. And then, we will go ahead and remove these two bolts right here and lower the whole thing down. Now if you cannot get these bolts loose, you will probably just have to cut on both sides of the hat channel to remove both pieces then. 1:08 more

Fifth Wheel Base Rail Kit Installation - 2010 GMC Sierra Pickup

Today on this 2010 GMC Sierra we are going to install part number RP50064-58. The first thing we need to do is lower the spare tire to get it out of our way which we have done already. The next thing we need to do is remove the heat shield and loosen the exhaust up a little bit too. First off we will work on the rear exhaust hanger right here. We are going to spray it down with some lubricant and that way what will happen is that will loosen our exhaust up so we can move it back and forth to give us a little more room when you cut out the heat shield. If you need a little more working room you can always go one more up and remove this hanger too. 00:35 more

Today on this 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 HD we will be installing Curt fifth wheel Q5 with roller part number 50064 and part number 16500. We will also be installing the fifth wheel installation kit with rails part number 50061-6008. Go ahead and lower the spare tire up out of the way. Also on some models you will find that the heat shield over here on the passenger side will interfere with the installation of your frame brackets. If that is the case you may want to go ahead and remove the heat shield out of the way as well. Okay on the models that have the factory installed electrical brake control unit will need to relocate the electrical plug mounted to the inboard side of the driver side frame rail here. Loosen those up and you can see that we can actually take the heads of the bolts, slide the bracket forward, and pop them out those larger holes there. 00:59 more
